**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or PA to join our growing behavioral health team. The APP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s) who acts as the collaborative practitioner(s), is responsible for: + Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to formulate accurate diagnoses + Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapeutic interventions + Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, monitoring for efficacy and side effects + Provide trauma-informed psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups to address mental health challenges and promote resilience + Collaborate effectively with our primary care providers, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated whole person care + Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing and improving overall well-being + Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation **KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:** + Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients + Strong communication skills + Strong medical decision-making skills + Displaying a caring and professional attitude at all times + Documenting in a timely and thorough manner **SCHEDULE DETAILS:** + Schedule Details: Monday – Friday + Hospitals covered: AH Orlando **REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:** + Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or APRN or PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) + Geriatric or Memory Care experience preferred **LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, REGISTRATION:** + Current, valid Florida PA or APRN license + BLS & ACLS + DEA License **Category:** Physician Services **Req ID:** 147552619
