Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Soldered to join our Electrical Department’s Final Assembly area. This position involves performing advanced hand soldering of components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs), as well as rework and repair tasks. The successful candidate will support both production and engineering initiatives by working on RMAs, ECOs, prototypes, and special projects.
The role requires flexibility to rotate across multiple PCB assembly workstations including Heat Sink, Pre-Assembly, Kitting, Prep, Set-up/Tear-down, Slide Line, RTV Machine, and Tape/Detape. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, quality-focused, and a proactive team player with a strong commitment to on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble printed circuit boards using work instructions, layout drawings, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation in accordance with IPC-A-610 Class 2 standardsPerform advanced soldering on production assemblies, rework, and engineering requests including RMAs, ECOs, and prototypesConduct visual inspections to ensure all assemblies meet IPC quality standardsOperate tools and equipment including small hand tools, torque tools, scales, rulers, calculators, and computersSupport various workstations as needed, including Heat Sink, Pre-Assembly, Kitting, and moreHandle repetitive, fast-paced, and accurate hand insertion of electronic componentsCollaborate effectively with team members to ensure production goals are metMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all company policies related to ESD control, safety, and qualityPhysical Requirements
Frequent use of fine finger dexterity, neck flexion, and overhead reachingFrequent handling of circuit boards, components, and tools using both handsAbility to lift, push, or pull 11–25 lbs regularly and 26–50 lbs occasionallyOccasional bending at knees and waistRequires close and midrange vision, depth perception, and physical balanceAbility to sit, stand, or alternate between the two for extended periodsQualifications
High School Diploma or equivalentCompletion of Advanced Solder Training per IPC standardsDemonstrated proficiency in soldering to IPC-7711/7721 standards for rework, modification, and repair of electronic assembliesAbility to interpret schematics and assembly documentation to build products to quality specificationsPrevious experience in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment preferred
