Advanced Practice Provider- Nicu 2A
**The Division of Neonatology at MetroHealth is seeking a NICU Advanced Practice Provider.** **Job Duties:** + Work with cohesive team of attending, fellow, resident, and advanced practice provider staff + Ability to function independently and autonomously + Competent in procedures (intubations, PICC lines, umbilical lines, radial art sticks, chest tubes) + Required to go to at risk deliveries + Self-scheduling/supportive group of APPs + Experience preferred, but not required **Location:** METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER **Biweekly Hours:** 80.00 **Shift:** 6:30 pm - 6:30 am **S** **ummary:** Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse’s education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management and/or referral of health care issues. Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy. The advanced practice registered nurse may also manage complex illnesses and/or deliver specialty care. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System. **Required** : MSN Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered nurse program. Have current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio and Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing. Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty. Physician Assistant graduated from an accredited PA program with certification to practice by the NCCPA and active licensure to practice in Ohio by the State Medical Board of Ohio. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire. Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire. Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and must report to the Medical Staff Office at time of hire to apply for clinical privileges. Maintains a standard care arrangement and renews/signs it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Note: Other department specific qualifications for providers will be addressed through the Certificate of Authority and credentialing process.
