Job Posting Title: Advanced Practice Provider, PDD (NP or PA) Location: Dallas - Hospital Additional Posting Details: Monday - Friday 800 am - 5:00 pm Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities + Participates in direct patient care as an active member of the clinical and surgical team. + Assists in clinics as an active member of the team; establishes medical diagnosis(es) and determines a plan of care for short term health problems, stable chronic health problems and/or exacerbation of stable chronic health problems. + Conducts and documents comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status. + Synthesizes data and utilizes evidence to develop, implement, and evaluate the patient plan of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results. + Work with multidisciplinary team members with treatment and coordination of patient care. + Provides relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures. + Facilitates/participates in quality related initiatives through planned group processes, workshops, seminars, and staff meetings, to improve clinical and system practice performance. + Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities + Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered nursing program (APRN) or physician assistant (PA) program and are certified through a recognized accrediting agency and hold a current Texas license + PALS and BLS + Membership and active participation in professional organizations are beneficial + Knowledge of growth and development from birth through adolescence + Ability to learn new skills in a timely manner + Flexibility and adaptability to change + High level of analytical ability and critical thinking skills + Create and maintain effective working relationships with hospital staff peers, medical staff, and administration At Scottish Rite for Children, we work together with the common goal of helping give children back their childhood.
