Detailed Functions of the Role
Performs and interprets cardiac stress tests including treadmill nuclear and echo protocolsEvaluates patient indications and contraindications for stress testingConducts pre and post procedure assessments and documentationParticipates in clinical decision making and medical management as indicatedDevelops protocols and clinical workflows for cardiac testing and expansion of the programCollaborates with physicians and staff to ensure safe high quality careProvides clinical services under a collaborative agreement including assessment diagnosis treatment and discharge planningSupports clinical education of staff students and patientsParticipates in safety quality improvement and compliance initiativesSkills and Abilities
Strong cardiology clinical background with expertise in stress testingAdvanced physical assessment and diagnostic skillsAbility to develop protocols and improve operational workflowsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to function independently and in interdisciplinary teamsDemonstrated leadership and teaching capabilitiesFlexible and responsive to dynamic clinical needsQualifications
Current NJ license as APN or PAFor APN NJ Board of Nursing certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse and masters degree in nursing requiredFor PA NJ license and NCCPA certification required with graduation from accredited PA programEducation and Certification
Bachelors masters or graduate certificate required based on disciplineBLS and ACLS certifications through American Heart Association requiredYears of Experience
Minimum two years of clinical experience in cardiology requiredExperience in performing stress tests including treadmill nuclear and echo preferredOther Duties:
