Job Overview:
The APP is an independent health care provider who coordinates inpatient care through collaboration with the Physician, for Critical Care patients. The PA or APN provides care in accordance with the objectives policies and procedures of the practice and the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner Advisory Committee.

Required:
Current APN or PA certificationCurrent NJ state license, CDS and DEACurrent BLS/ACLS requiredPreferred:
1-2 years acute care hospital experience preferred Acute care certification preferredCertifications and Licenses Required:

Demonstrates an ability to organize and achieve quality performance in new routineDemonstrates effectiveness in coordinating aspects of patient care within a critical care environmentPerforms admission assessments and appropriate treatment for patientsRounds daily with attending physician on unitPerforms appropriate interpretation of laboratory/diagnostic testingPerforms bedside procedures such as central lines, arterial lines, etc.Demonstrates strong organizational skills, communicates effectively and demonstrates time managementPerforms duties with minimal supervision and coordinates care with the physician, case managers, and other consulting providers.
