Your role :
Define packaging for new developed parts for FG and support implementation of those packaging in serial production or approve packaging proposed by Plant
Request Packaging Part Number from GSD and communicate Pack part number to PC&L
Be part of project team during quoting phase to Customer to ensure optimum packaging outbound deliveries
Support to Calculate Total Logistics Cost outbound
Analyze, validate and negotiate Customer packaging proposal
Support fixing clear rules between Customer & Aptiv and packaging Supplier & Aptiv for returnable packaging
Support identification and evaluation of packaging enhancement opportunities and proposals within Aptiv EDS EMEA for outbound deliveries in flow 4. (ei.Redifine concept for Batch packaging definition in order to optimize box space usage and reduce cost: switch from 1 packaging type per family to multiple per family)
Represent PC&L in the RFQ process, support negotiation with Suppliers final packaging to be used during serial deliveries
Submit the packaging requirements with volumes for Indirect SCM for sourcing packaging for new projects. Support sourcing process for technical specification for the packaging materials ( e- request submission)
Ensure Regional implementation and revision of work instruction and EOS procedures within PC&L areas
Ensure full compliance with Aptiv Packaging and Shipping guidelines and evaluate potential financial impact
Perform packaging Supplier visits and audit or workshops with packaging Suppliers with regard of packaging improvements for new projects
IT Tools:
Support definition of requirements and enhancement of IT tools or work around solutions (e.g.. Packaging Management Tool (DPN creation), Packaging Supplier/Customer portal)
Support roll out of new developed IT tools (e.g.. Packaging Management Tool)
Packaging BBP control & achievement- Forecast and actual data collection from plant and central Finance
Establish performance monitoring by site: forecast vs actual for specific month, total Forecast and actual vs BBP
Discrepancy clarification with plant and Finance, define gaps closure plan by site (in collaboration with plant PC&L Manager
Establish traceability and process for management of returnable packaging - in relationship with capitalization project
Packaging data base preparation and maintenance
Your background:
Bachelor or Master in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 3-5 years experience in SCM, Packaging engineering
Additional education/ skills:
Knowledge about Supply Chain Processes including inventory management
SAP Knowledge is an advantage
Capability to profoundly use MS Office Software
Fluent in English (speak, read and write)
Additional language skills (French, German, Spanish) is an advantage
Excellent Communication skills
Creativity and Persistence in problem solving
Strong Personality
Good negotiation skills
Team Player-Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate, facilitate and instruct others as project leader across the function
Ability to prioritize work Work independently on defined visions and goals
