As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (Eng 1) here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize production processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. With your expertise and leadership, you will contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
You will report directly to our Director Advanced Manufacturing Engineer and you’ll work onsite out of our Olathe, KS location.
In this role, you will impact our manufacturing operations by optimizing production processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your contributions will directly impact our bottom line and help us maintain our position as a global technology leader.
Use your knowledge of New Production Introduction and Manufacturing Engineering fundamentals to help Honeywell Aerospace deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will work under general supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of aerospace products supporting new products from concept through the start of production, with an emphasis on process development, producibility, quality, yield, and schedule execution.
The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure new products are producible and meet yield and cost targets
+ Determine manufacturing processes, procure and set up equipment, develop work instructions
+ Support production teams with identification/resolution of new product line issues
+ Perform/Lead Root Cause Corrective Analysis and drive corrective actions to closure
+ Provide technical support and expertise in the use of SAP systems and processes.
+ Status and manage engineering production parts inventory on factory floor
+ Status and manage product shipping and receiving related to AME engineering needs
+ Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues, ensuring the smooth operation of engineering workflows.
+ Optimize engineering processes and workflows through the effective use of SAP

YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Electrical, Computer Systems, Mechanical)
+ 1+ year experience in manufacturing engineering
WE VALUE
+ Work or internship experience in the Aerospace or Automotive industry and/or Electronics manufacturing
+ Basic knowledge of the field's standards and specifications
+ Experience in the use of Lean tools
+ Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams
+ Experience with design and development processes
+ Ability to focus on important information and identify key details
+ Strong communication skills
+ Capability of following guidelines and ensuring efficiency on tasks
+ Application of basic engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
+ Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
+ Willingness to consistently take the initiative to get things done
