To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit www.amcor.com | LinkedIn | YouTube **Responsibilities** + Attend and complete all required courses administered by Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) for the duration of the 2-year, Advanced Manufacturing Technician (AMT) program + Attend all classes, events, meetings, and/or conferences required by the Kansas City Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) chapter + Maintain acceptable academic performance as determined by the program instructor + Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, following all guidelines and procedures + Maintain a clean and organized work area + Approach assigned tasks with positive intent, eagerness to learn, and openness to failure + Exhibit teamwork, collaboration, and camaraderie + Satisfactorily complete all required plant and departmental training, development, and assessments + Alongside Amcor trainer, assist in troubleshooting industrial equipment to resolve functionality or performance issues + Alongside Amcor trainer, inspect and assist with repair to pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems + Alongside Amcor trainer, research and assist with resolution of technical issues + Use manuals to locate parts required for repairs and projects + Communicate all relevant information and activity statuses with leadership and colleagues **Qualifications** + At least 18 years old + High school diploma or GED equivalent + Actively enrolled in the Kansas City chapter of FAME through KCKCC - REQUIRED + Commitment to safety and continuous improvement + Digital literacy and basic computer skills + English fluency and basic math skills + Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills + Strong mechanical aptitude + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Proven dependability, reliability, and ability to multi-task + Proven ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team **Additional Info** **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Ability to work around grease, oils, inks, and solvents + Ability to climb ladders + Must be able to stand, walk, bend, or stoop for the shift's duration + Good manual dexterity of arms, hands, and fingers + 20/20 vision (with or without correction) including color differentiation + Ability to work in a consistently loud, fast-paced environment among distractions and interruptions **Contact** **Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity** Amcor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
