Purpose of Role:

The Advanced IIoT Engineer position is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work with the latest IIoT technology to develop the implementation and integration of the Weir NEXT IIoT solution.

As an experienced professional, you will use your expertise to be the owner and approver in the development of IIoT systems. The role requires providing both remote and on-site field support for the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of the NEXT IIoT solutions.

Additionally, you will be responsible for interacting and integrating with internal teams, customers and contractors the new IIoT solutions and their connectivity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing exceptional technical support L3 and share his knowledge and experience with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development and integration of the new technology implementation and commissioning of intelligent machines providing support both remotely and in person globally for Weir product lines under digital portfolio.Take ownership of the commissioning process from development teams, documenting and applying operational excellence to improve the process.Be an expert in the resolution of faults related to Wireless & Wired condition monitoring and process optimization solutions.Support the IIoT field complex issues on time reporting progress to key stakeholders and implementing measures to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence.Give support to complex implementation and integration of NEXT applications, mainly integrated into DCSs and PLC-based control systems which includes configuration and special customer requirements.Assist the different stakeholders over the division in the Industrial Cybersecurity topics, supporting in the meetings with external/internal customers in the current/future development and architecture changes.Support testing and commissioning industrial control systems with field communication buses, control programs and development environments for programming, diagnostics and configuration.Advanced knowledge of IIoT platforms platform such as but not limited to Aveva PI, Mindsphere, XMPro etc. Perform analytics inside the Weir NEXT infrastructure (PI XMPRO etc.)Support constant development to improve the robustness and capability of the NEXT platform. Solving complex data or performance issues related to the IIoT platform and data sources.Understanding of managing of customer service at agreed levels of the service and their quality standards, including the tools, methods and procedures used in the service.Act as a mentor, serving as the go-to person within the team for resolving technical challenges. Provide guidance, share insights, and assist team members in overcoming obstacles related to their work.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Education & Experience: Degree / master’s in, Electrical, E & C, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering or similar with 10 or more years of experience

Technical Skills:

Hands-on experience with OT to IT integration to Manage IIoT Integration with customer DCS. High experience in connectivity and integrating it from the Edge(Gateway)/DCS to the cloud.Practical knowledge of Mining mechanical equipment, which includes hydraulic, pneumatic and electronics engineering design and failure analysis.Sound knowledge and experience in configuration of systems (embedded + wireless + networking + SCADA + IIoT)Direct work and experience with Studio 5000, TIA Portal and TwinCAT, testing and commissioning industrial control systems. Experience with Node-Red and Phyton will be a plus.Must have knowledge of communication protocols like RS 232, TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, Ethernet IP, OPC UA, MQTT(SpvB), etc.Knowledge of electrical & instrumentation devices, should have broad experience in measuring devices and knowledge of sensors both analogue and digital.Network configuration, diagnostics and troubleshooting such as setting up IP addresses, network segmentation and segregation; determining network performance and diagnosing communication issues in both wired and wireless.Knowledge of Industrial Cybersecurity frameworks, like IEC 62.443, NIST 800-82 or NERC-CIP.Knowledge of data architecture, data modelling, data mapping, data analysis, and data visualization.Working knowledge XMPro, Aveva PI, SAP Analytics, and Ticketing systems is a plus.Experience in developing and managing dashboards and reports in any IIoT popular platforms.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Industrial IoT, condition monitoring and process automation.Understanding of Digital IT/OT system processes, technology, infrastructure, and specification.Site installation experience and their requirements.
