Advanced Chemical Engr
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Advanced Chemical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and designing chemical manufacturing processes and raw materials. You will apply your knowledge of chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to solve problems related to the production and use of foams and molded polymers. Employee will be located in Tijuana but will support Tijuana and San Diego factories, reporting to direct manager on Mexico City. **Key Responsibilities** + Perform laboratory testing, including the definition of design of experiments (DOE), + Adjust and calibrate instruments according to standard operating procedures (SOP), + Research and explore new methods and technologies, + Design and conduct experiments to improve manufacturing procedures and raw materials, + Lead improvement initiatives to enhance production processes, + Gather estimates of production costs, + Test and monitor the performance of processes throughout production, + Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing processes, + Conduct analysis and prepare reports on findings, + Validate raw material or process changes, + Release engineering changes as per business needs. Honeywell recently announced plans to sell its Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) business to Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (“PIP®”), a portfolio company of Odyssey Investment Partners. At this time, we anticipate that the deal will close in the first half of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions. We expect this role, dedicated to the PPE business, will be part of this future transaction when it closes. **YOU MUST HAVE** + Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, + Significant experience with colorants and injection materials, such as TPE and silicone, + Significant experience with foams and polymers. + Significant experience on definition of design of experiments (DOE). **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Strong understanding of engineering principles and mathematics, + Aptitude for and interest in chemistry, + Project management and resource management skills, + Excellent oral and written communication skills, + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, + Commitment to deliver projects timely, + MS Office Intermediate (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), + Statistical analysis experience.
