PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The SAP Global Adoption & Experience CoE (GA&X) organization plays a pivotal role in safeguarding SAP's intellectual property, all while prioritizing an exceptional customer experience. Our mission is to offer tools and services for license audit and compliance that are not only reliable and predictable but also transparent and consistent across the globe.

Within the GLAC framework, the Adoption Insights & Services (AIS) division stands out as a Centre of Excellence. We provide premium utilization services, including Premium Engagements like Concierge Audit, Transformation, and Customer Measurement Services. Our goal is to ensure that all customers are equipped with the appropriate licenses, fostering effective license management practices. Moreover, we are committed to the adoption, metering, and consumption of SAP licenses, ensuring that our customers can maximize their investments in SAP solutions.

To achieve this, we actively engage in the adoption process, guiding customers through the integration and effective use of their SAP licenses. Our metering services are designed to accurately track license usage, providing valuable insights into consumption patterns. This allows us to offer tailored advice on how to optimize license utilization, ensuring that our customers are not only compliant but also able to leverage their SAP software in the most efficient way possible. Furthermore, we serve as a dependable and trusted advisor, guiding our customers through their transformation journey toward SAP Cloud.

We also place a strong emphasis on transparency and education, offering enablement programs for both customers and internal stakeholders. These initiatives are designed to demystify the complexities of SAP licensing and empower users with the knowledge and tools they need to manage their licenses proactively.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

Contributes and works on sub projects and activities with moderate level of complexity as SAP Trusted Authorization Review (STAR), Customer Measurement Services, remote and onsite audits, Digital Access Evaluation Services, and supplementary Audit Services, with a focus on increasing license adoption, metering, and consumption.

Collaborate with colleagues to deliver Premium Services, including global engagements, and support the team in achieving excellence in service delivery.

Perform noncomplex license audits and customer measurement or enablement services, assisting customers and sales teams with licensing or measurement inquiries and challenges.

Assist projects with multiple stakeholders, responsible for delivery of outcome of assigned sub projects, contributes to milestones.

Stay abreast of the latest trends in license measurement and adoption, leveraging historical experience to support the development of innovative methods and practices within the GLAC community.

Proactively identify and address issues with tools or processes and recommend actionable solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. 

 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in economics, Information Technology, or a related field is required. This foundational education will support the analytical and technical demands of the role.

Experience: Candidates must bring a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally within areas related to license management, software asset management, or IT services.

Analytical Expertise: Analytical abilities are essential. You should be adept at dissecting issues and employing logical problem-solving strategies to address challenges efficiently.

Communication Skills: Be a clear communicator, in a way that others can understand within defined processes & policies. Full proficiency in Japanese, mastery of written and verbal English is non-negotiable, and proficiency in other languages is highly regarded, enhancing our team's ability to engage with a diverse client base.

Technical Insight: strong competence with various tools, procedures, programming languages used to accomplish the job.

Industry Knowledge: An understanding of Major software vender's Licensing and Pricing mechanisms is advantageous but not required. This knowledge will provide a solid foundation for managing licensing engagements and advising clients accurately.

Relevant Expertise: A robust background in IT, software development, consulting, or compliance is required, showcasing the ability to navigate technical and regulatory aspects of the role.

Internal Networking: A well-established network within various organizations is important, reflecting the ability to collaborate and leverage internal resources.

Global Exposure: Experience working in international contexts is highly valued, indicating adaptability and a global perspective in professional settings.
