The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in the overall management and supervision of the nursing department at the Southern Utah Veterans Home. The ADON helps ensure that high-quality care is provided to residents and that all nursing staff adhere to state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities: Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the nursing department Supervise and evaluate nursing staff, ensuring that they provide compassionate and competent care to residents Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations Participate in quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff Collaborate with other departments to ensure coordinated care for residents Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Utah Previous experience in a nursing leadership role preferred Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
