Field Engineer Advisor

Our work depends on Field Engineer Advisor joining our team to work with a team of professionals in the design, maintenance, and modernization of complex networks supporting multiple Navy platforms afloat, airborne, and ashore.  You will be collaborating with industry leaders in networking and communications, government organizations, and a team of engineers with the focus of delivering reliable service anywhere at any time. 

HOW A FIELD ENGINEER ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
● Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems
● Provides remote and onsite technical support
● Review project documents and provide technical review comments
● Create IDPS based of IRD and site surveys
● Initiate and evaluate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)
● Attend Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings

● Evaluate and troubleshoot LAN architecture and resolve network traffic flow issues over complex, multi-node, tactical WAN/LAN environments

● Develop integrated Naval enterprise logical and physical LAN architectures

● Create, modify, and troubleshoot firewall rules and configurations

● Develop and implement test strategies and document results

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

● Required Experience: 8+ years of related experience supporting Navy ADNS and secure/non-secure networks afloat and/or ashore with at least 4 years supporting ADNS Airborne efforts.
● Required Technical Skills:

Practical understanding of Cisco Routing & Switching to include: Fundamentals of routing and switching, Routing Protocols, Access Control Lists, VLANs, VLAN Trunking, Subnetting, 802.1X NAC, and Secure Group Tagging.Working knowledge of the NAVY’s FRCB process and DISA network operationsWorking knowledge of DISA circuit provisioning, troubleshooting processComprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and supportComprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in network administration and support

● Security Clearance Level: Secret
● Required Skills and Abilities:

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Linux+ Certified ProfessionalNetwork+ Certified ProfessionalSecurity + Certified Professional
