Admissions Counselor

Responsible for recruiting and counseling prospective students and general office duties. Provide leadership to other processes as necessary.

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the academic, social, and spiritual composition of Belmont University in order to perpetuate the Belmont vision.Manage the enrollment of students from a particular geographic region including direct visitation, recruiting visits, and appointments with campus visitors. This includes the data-informed development and execution of a territory management plan, as well as the cultivation of relationships with students, families, and counselors in the territory.Evaluate credentials of applicants from assigned territory to determine academic and personal compatibility with the goals and mission of Belmont University.Assists with all on campus events.  Leads information sessions on campus, participates in scholarship interview day, and attends Preview Days and Be Belmont Day.Exercise knowledge of financial aid programs available to Belmont University students and provide financial aid counseling to prospective students. Participate in the awarding of merit-based scholarships to admitted students deemed most qualified.Participate in cross-functional improvement teams and initiatives.Assist Enrollment Services and other offices as assigned.The above statements describe the job's essential responsibilities and requirements.  They are not an exhaustive list of the duties that may be assigned to job incumbents.
