Location: Franklin, NC | Full-Time, Consultant (12 Months) | Pay: $42.50 – $47.08/hr

We are currently seeking a highly organized and field-savvy Administrator Construction Manager to oversee Outside Plant (OSP) construction operations for a leading telecommunications client in Western North Carolina.
About the RoleAs an Administrator Construction Manager, you’ll be responsible for supervising and supporting critical OSP construction activities. You’ll ensure that all work performed by contractors meets design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements — all while staying on time and within budget. Your ability to coordinate across departments, communicate effectively, and manage field activity will directly contribute to the successful expansion of broadband and fiber infrastructure.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee OSP construction work performed by third-party contractors and ensure quality compliance.
Review and manage permitting, Work Zone Protection (WZP), and Traffic Control Plans (TCP).
Conduct pre- and post-construction inspections and maintain detailed documentation.
Track material usage, monitor project schedules, and validate accurate reporting of invoicing and timesheets.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, logistics, and contract administration teams.
Attend pre-construction meetings and maintain accurate records, including as-builts.
Monitor expenditures and investigate/review damage to plant infrastructure.
Travel as needed in the Franklin and Weaverville, NC areas.
Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of combined experience in Outside Plant construction and splicing.
Strong knowledge of OSP construction standards, unit descriptions, and SSP contracts.
Deep understanding of applicable state, local, and company safety requirements.
Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather conditions.
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or be on-call as project needs demand.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with the JIM process and managing large-scale telecom field operations.
Strong organizational, budgeting, and time management skills.
Skilled in collaborating with municipal offices and utility companies.

Pay Details: $42.50 to $47.08 per hour
