1.  Routine Administration

Effective management and control of tellersDaily reconciliation and balancing of office accountsStrict efficient control over expenditure budgetAccurate cost recoveryMaintenance of office equipmentChecking and control of daily activities in accordance with laid down prescriptionsProper control of face value documentsManagement and control of ATM downtimeChecking of daily capturing and monthly reportsTimeous preparation and submission of statementsManagement of card administrationManagement of cheque book ordering processLoss control managementInventory controlControl of old recordsManagement of data qualitySurprise balancingProfessional telephone serviceManagement and control of cheque, investment, savings and general ledger areas

Ensure that clients are handled in a professional manner and the information provided is correct

Proactive marketing of the Bank’s products and cross-selling to new/existing clients to meet business objectives of the Bank 

4.  Administration Support:  

Ensure efficient management of the frontline service area and the back office support areas by:

Providing excellent customer service through the direct frontline and switchboard operationsProper cash control in the Teller and Cash Asset areasProper indirect support at the administration support areas

5.  People Management

Ensure that the right people are placed in the right positions in order to reduce the workload, overtime and staff turnoverPlan and conduct formal and on the job training to ensure that sufficient expertise are available to perform the jobSufficient knowledge of staff and their duties to do effective evaluation in accordance with the Bank’s guidelines

Minimum requirements

Experience/Knowledge & Skills

·        At least 4 years general banking experience·        Knowledge of products and services·        Knowledge of Business and Administration procedures·        Good leadership skills·        Knowledge of general operations of the Bank·        Computer literacy essential (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)·        Skills in analyzing and evaluating financial information·        Excellent interpersonal relationship skills

QUALIFICATION

Grade 12

Certificate in Banking an advantage
