What is the opportunity?
Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services. Founded in 1864, they are the 10th largest bank worldwide and the 5th in North America, as measured by market capitalization. Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their ‘centres of excellence’ and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.
This role works within Securities Operations department of Wealth Management Asia, mainly focuses on Listed Options & Life Cycle Management team. Responsible for timely and accurate end to end processing of Listed Options and Life Cycle Management accordingly to defined SLAs. In addition to the core responsibilities, the role also offers exposure to broader areas within Securities Operations to take ownership of related tasks and contribute across various operational functions as needed.
What will you do?
Responsible for timely and accurate end to end processing of Corporate Action Events and Life Cycle Management according to defined SLAs Products covered: Equity, Fixed Income, Funds, Structured Notes, Derivatives, Listed OptionsEnsure that all transactions are processed in accordance to bank rule, circulars, procedures and local requirementsManage requests and queries within stipulated timeframeAdherence to all control points in placeCash and security breaks investigation and escalationDemonstrate clear understanding and adherence to WM escalation protocol.Review process flows and initiate process improvements via change requests, defectsParticipate in projects, strategic initiatives and testingDemonstrate clear understanding and apply the RBC Values, cultures and leadership model in all daily dealingsActive enrollment in courses offered by Learning & Development team and to apply knowledge gained in day to day processingProvide relief support and other duties assigned and cross train on all functions performed with the team and across departmentWhat do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environmentMinimum 1 year of working experience within a Corporate Actions team/department, however fresh graduates are welcome to applyGood working knowledge of global practices in relation to corporate actionsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailsGood inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal)Committed and responsible with an attitude to ensure accuracy and completenessNice-to-have
