Location: Northwest Human Services – Admin | 681 Center St. NE, Salem OR 97301
Job Status : Full-time
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
Northwest Human Services (NWHS) is seeking a professional and welcoming Administrative Specialist to serve as the first and last point of contact for visitors at our Administration Office. We are looking for someone who thrives in a people-focused role, enjoys multitasking, and values being part of a mission-driven organization dedicated to community well-being.
YOUR ROLE:
The Administrative Specialist greets and assists visitors, answers questions, and connects individuals to NWHS programs and other local resources. This role supports daily office operations, provides administrative support across multiple departments, and ensures every interaction reflects the values of professionalism, respect, and empathy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Associate's degree or 2 years of current enrollment in a BA/BS program with a focus in public health, psychology, social work, mental health, behavioral sciences, or related field. A BA/BS degree is strongly preferred.
+ Experience working with vulnerable populations in mental health, substance treatment, or medical care settings is strongly preferred.
+ Proficient with Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
+ Knowledge of Marion/Polk Co. community resources and local support systems, preferred.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team.
+ Strong organizational ability, self-motivated, and detailed-oriented.
