Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
The Manitoba Adolescent Treatment Centre embraces the goal of Jordan’s Principal to ensure that all children and youth have access to the health services they need in a timely manner. This position is dedicated to providing administrative support to a multi-disciplinary team that services First Nations communities.
Experience Two years’ experience in a health/medical related environment. Experience maintaining a records management system and hard-copy files. Switchboard/receptionist experience. Experience in recording and preparing minutes and agendas. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Completion of a high school or equivalent program of studies; formal training in applied office skills is required along with an understanding of medical terminology. Qualifications and Skills Ability to understand somewhat complex situations, determine courses of action and respond in a professional manner. Word processing and excellent typing and proof-reading skills required (40 wpm). Proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Databases. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize and independently complete a variety of administrative duties demonstrating: Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The ability to maintain accuracy while multi-tasking or working under pressure. The ability to follow directions closely and accurately. The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
