Hourly rate: £15.92
Office Based
Working Days/Hours: Monday to Friday: 9am-5pm, 37 hrs p/w

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer.

List the duties/ responsibilities:

Accuracy and an eye for detailProficient in using IT systems including Outlook, Word and Excel - it is essential this software can be used confidently. Full training will be provided in Home Office and HMCTS systems.Can work as part of a team but with little supervision



Key Responsibilities:

Be flexible in providing day to day operational support over Appeals Data Team, Appeals Processing Team, Digital Service Team and Business Support Team as required to ensure His Majesty Courts and Tribunal Service output targets are met or as identified by the line managerBe proficient in the use of IT and regularly check/input the required accurate data immediately for your allocated cases. Accuracy in data entry is essential for these rolesComplete data entry tasks within strict timelinesPrepare appeal bundles within time limits and ensure appeal bundles are dispatched within set timescales referring complex cases or casework errors to your managerCarry out a variety of administrative functions as required by the team managersUse record management system to monitor the immigration case records of Appellants - to comply with records management principles and the data protection act legislation.Write effectively ensuring all written communications are clear and concise.Work with management information reportsHave a flexible approach in the delivery of customer service, where appropriate and deliver a professional service to Home Office standardsSeek to deliver continuous improvement, using feedback from customers, plus internal/external stakeholders, highlighting problems and sharing best practice. Putting forward ideas which lead to operational performance improvements, cost savings or better services for customers"Getting the basics right" at all times. Raising concerns if this is not happening in your areaHelp to make UKVI a great place to work and act as a role model for HO valuesAdhere to Home Office policies for handling the various levels of marked information; both internally and externallyStore all UKVI information and documents appropriately following security guidelines, and where appropriate making accurate use of the shared folders set up on the corporate networkBe proficient in the use of Excel and Word - APC uses data from a variety of sourcesWilling to demonstrate a motivated and flexible approach to all tasksThis is a target driven role



Training:
4-6 weeks training in office. Mandatory e learning - training will be under line manager

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
DBS + CTC

Role specific requirements:

You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years. Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
