Administrative Fellow - McLeod Physician Associates

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

McLeod Health is seeking an aspiring healthcare leader to be the healthcare system’s Administrative Fellow. Over 12-18 months, the Fellow will embark on an experiential learning opportunity to enhance the skills necessary to successfully manage healthcare operations. The Administrative Fellow will rotate through McLeod Health’s seven service locations, completing projects that align with the Fellow’s career interests and organizational needs. Professional development opportunities will include mentorship from the program preceptor and current fellow, networking opportunities with key leadership, attending Leadership Development Institute’s, and Six Sigma Certification.  Essential Job Responsibilities/Expectations  Completes administrative and operational improvement projects as directed by the preceptor.  Consistently facilitates independent and team-based projects in a timely manner.  Networks with providers and senior leadership during strategic planning weekly meetings.  Assists in establishing service-line budgets and monitors budget variance throughout the year.  Participates in interim management role(s), where required, to gain understanding of daily operational management.  Other duties as assigned.  Qualifications/Training:  Education/Certifications/Licenses:  Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Health Services Administration, Business Administration, or related field.  This position does require the submission of a professional resume, personal statement (to include: goals, qualifications, and objectives) and two letters of recommendation (academic and professional).
