It is one of the largest employers in every community it serves. ​​​ SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking an experienced Administrative Director, Nursing Operations (ADNO) to join the nursing leadership team within the Office of the CNO at this state-of-the-art academic medical center that opened in 2020. The facility serves as a cornerstone of academic medicine in the St. Louis region, and SSM Health providing complex patient care while supporting medical education and research initiatives. This complex hospital setting calls for expertise in nursing operations from the ADNO. SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital operates as a 316-bed, 802,000-square-foot academic medical center that represents a significant investment in transformational healthcare delivery. The facility holds designation as a Level I Trauma Center and features specialized units including ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Neurosurgical Care departments that handle some of the most complex cases in the region. Responsible for guiding nursing and other clinical practice as directed; for alignment of quality initiatives; and analysis of clinical outcomes for nurse sensitive indicators and identified key performance indicators. **Job Responsibilities and Requirements:** **Primary Responsibilities** + Accountable and responsible for departments as assigned. Achieves outcomes on assigned units to include satisfaction, quality, financial and safety. + Coordinates assignment of personnel to areas consistent with their qualifications and maintains accountability. + Solves problems in conjunction with management. + Manages schedules for assigned departments. + Plans, implements, and supports budget decisions. Utilizes personnel and supplies consistently within budgetary guidelines. Proactively plans workforce needs in collaboration with management. + Manages workflow process for effective patient throughput. + Maintains appropriate personnel and departmental records. + Demonstrates the ability to analyze situations, consider alternatives, formulate and implements solutions, and evaluate results. + Evaluates staff in accordance with organization performance appraisal program. + Collaborates with leadership team to achieve optimal outcomes. + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Performs other duties as assigned. **Education** + Master's degree in nursing or related field; Bachelor's degree in Nursing if Master's is not in Nursing **Experience** + Five years' registered nurse (RN) experience, with three years in direct people management/leadership **Physical Requirements** + Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. + Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
