Administrative Coordinator

The Pulmonary Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in supporting daily operations of the pulmonary office. This position acts as the right hand to the Practice Coordinator and helps ensure seamless administrative and patient care processes across the department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as backup support for clerical staff during absences or high-volume periods to ensure smooth daily operationsAct as a liaison between staff and Practice Coordinator, helping to escalate issues and support team coordinationMonitor and assist with workqueues and follow up on outstanding tasksProvide basic Epic troubleshooting support to staff and escalate technical issues as neededAssist with prior authorization submission for procedures and communicate with insurance companies as neededSupport daily office needs including, scheduling, faxing, phone cover, and provider supportMaintain knowledge of department workflows to help train new hiresCollaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative team members to ensure continuity of care and efficient patient throughputHelp identify and facilitate workflow improvements to support département goals and improve patient experiencesRequires strong multi-tasking capabilitiesRequires adherence to strict confidentiality guidelines


Qualifications

Associate's Degree - requiredPrior experience in customer service.
- preferredWorking knowledge of computer-based applications and strong PC/ keyboard skills.Knowledge of medical terminology.Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to use sound judgment in decision making.Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated time management skills.Ability to handle high workload volume with many variables, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal), demonstrating the ability to work effectively and efficiently with a diverse population.Ability to work well independently as well as within a team unit.
