Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: This is a clerical position requiring independent and discretionary judgement. This position performs as an Administrative Coordinator providing high qualify, timely, and accurate assistance to professional staff in the Child Support Enforcement Regional Office which serves four (4) parishes including Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard, and Plaquemines. Incumbent must perform a wide variety of duties and is critical to the smooth operation of the office and child support program. In this position, you will be responsible for duties such as: + Schedule bi-weekly appointments for the intake unit + Ensures that each customer has an application and any other documents needed + Inputs all applications that come in by customer or mail into the office's computerized Non-Assistance Log + Facilitates the return of fees if not required by contacting customer to pick it up or returning by mail + Forwards cleared applications to the appropriate analyst + Provides clerical support to the intake unit + Performs duties in common with other office support staff + Processes mail including sorting, researching, and distributing to ensure accurate delivery to appropriate staff throughout the district office + Serves as backup to the local office's Safety Coordinator + Performs other duties as assigned for the smooth operation of the Department Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee. Works Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts. Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, or 3.
