Don't miss out on the opportunity to work alongside the world's best in paediatric healthcare. **Position Description** The Canadian Population Screening for Risk of Type 1 Diabetes Research Consortium, "CanScreenT1D," a newly formed national initiative funded by CIHR and Breakthrough T1D, is focused on determining the acceptability and feasibility of screening Canadian children for risk of developing type 1 diabetes and for developing and implementing a pilot screening program. The CanScreen T1D Research Consortium Coordinating Core based at The Hospital for Sick Children is recruiting an Administrative Coordinator, who will provide administrative support to the CanScreen Coordinating Core, Executive Committee, Project Leads, and additional committees and working groups involved with the Consortium. The Administrative Coordinator will perform various office management, financial, and clerical duties as well as act as a resource and a communication link for the CanScreen T1D team. **Here's What You'll Get To Do** + Attend meetings, prepare and distribute agendas, and meeting minutes . + Manage payroll timekeeping + Manage Consortium related documentation and compose, transcribe, and proofread documents, including highly confidential correspondence and presentation material + Arrange logistics for meetings/events, including room bookings, travel, accommodation, catering, and audiovisual and equipment needs + Schedule and confirm appointments, adjusting as needed based on shifting priorities + Handle incoming inquiries and triage as required + Coordinate all aspects of conferences with little or no direction and be responsible for the corresponding budget + Support the Business Officer and/or Director with procurement, invoicing and managing accounts, processing, and monitoring expenses, including cost center expenditures and travel reimbursements. + Oversee office supplies, equipment, and inventory management + Liaise with appropriate personnel to follow-up on financial matters + Prepare reports and presentation material using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other tools as required + Support Human Resource functions as it relates to recruitment, performance and attendance management, and terminations **Here's What You'll Need** + Post secondary degree/diploma in business or office administration + Minimum of 3-5 years of senior administrative experience, hospital or university setting is an asset + Previous experience supporting research teams will be considered an asset + Expert knowledge and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) + Experience using Adobe Professional and reference management software + Experience with recording and transcribing of minutes + Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills + Demonstrated high level of judgment, tact and diplomacy in interacting with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders + Ability to work well independently, as well as, in a team environment + Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy work environment with many interruptions and competing priorities + Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality + Strong work ethic and attention to detail + Demonstrated excellence in organization, prioritization, and time management for yourself and for others, with the ability to adapt well in a changing environment + Self-motivation and ability to be proactive + Superior writing skills and document preparation as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and the public + A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity and inclusion objectives **Employment Type** Full-time contract with modified benefits (renewable) **Our Commitment to Diversity** SickKids is committed to championing equity, diversity and inclusion in all that we do, fostering an intentionally inclusive and culturally safe environment that reflects the diversity of the patients, families and communities we serve.
