CDHSCareers The Colorado State Veterans Home at Rifle is an 89-bed facility with approximately 120 FTE’s in which this work unit has the responsibility for providing: financial, accounting, invoice processing, procurement purchasing support, inventories, fixed assets, audit preparations, general administrative support to include cashier and reception duties. Description of Job Accounts Receivable Post STA accounts. Review, Print, and mail resident statements. Compile and deposit spreadsheets to post from. Back up to attend Medicare meetings and write DC letters. Assist with tracking and applying for MED D policies. Superintendent Trustee Account and Resident Benefit Fund Performs deposits, withdrawals, and assist with monthly reconciling. Completes daily accounting for un-to-date-balances at all times. Accounts Payable Expenditures and Voucher Preparation Process payables with receiving reports, track payables and assure all invoices are approved for the current month. Tracking of all purchase orders and requisitions to assure they are not overspent. Accountable for all month end invoices, Accounts payable backup Other Duties as Assigned Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights Residency Requirement: This posting is only open to residents of the State of Colorado at the time of submitting your application. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience Only: Two (2) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position OR Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to two (2) years Conditions of Employment: + CDHS employees (all Direct contact with vulnerable persons): CBI name check and fingerprint check, ICON Colorado court database, Medicare fraud database, Reference Checks, Professional License verification (licensure requirements), Drug Screen, PREA (Division of Youth Services),Trails check (direct contact with children), CAPS (direct contact with adults – Mental Health Institutes, Regional Centers, Veterans Community Living Centers) + Current/Valid and unrestricted US Driver’s License + Travel: If required to Transport SNF/DOM Residents will use State Vehicle + Shift Work: Days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays + Former State employees who were disciplinarily terminated or resigned in lieu of termination must disclose the information on the application and provide an explanation why the prior termination or resignation should not disqualify the applicant from the current position. Absent extraordinary circumstances, prior disciplinary termination or resignation in lieu of termination will disqualify the applicant from future State employment with CDHS.
