Administrative Assistant
POSITION: Administrative Assistant LOCATION: Tacoma, WA SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm PAY: $24-$29 per hour, D.O.E. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to perform a basic range of secretarial and administrative duties, including answering phones, ordering office supplies, simple data entry, filing, etc. Our ideal Administrative Assistant is organized and professional with excellent multitasking and communication skills. WHAT WE OFFER: + Medical & Dental Insurance up to 70% Employer Paid + Vision Insurance + HSA with up to $1,000 annual Employer Contribution + 401K with up to 3.5% Employer Contribution + Personal Time Off and Paid Holidays + FREE Life & Disability Insurance + FREE Employee Assistance Program (EAP) + FREE Gym Membership + Employee Discount WHAT YOU WILL DO: + Copy, scan, and distribute documents as needed. + Place orders for office supplies as needed. + Provide assistance to the Reception Desk as needed; tasks may include but are not limited to: + Receiving, sorting, and routing mail and publications. + Answering incoming telephone calls, determining the purpose of calls, and forwarding calls to appropriate personnel or department. + Welcoming on-site visitors and determining the nature of their visit to announce their arrival to appropriate personnel; monitoring visitor access as needed. + Provide prompt and accurate assistance to the sales staff, Sales Manager, and General Manager as needed; tasks may include but are not limited to: + Entering orders into the computer system. + Answering customer questions. + Provide backup assistance to the Office Manager or HR Manager as needed; tasks may include but are not limited to: + Submitting daily invoices. + Processing credit and debit memos. + Processing merchandise returns (RMA’s). + Entering bank deposits. + Reviewing employee credit card reports. + Reviewing payroll. + Assisting with HR duties and paperwork. WHAT YOU WILL BRING: + Three or more years of experience in an administrative field, associate’s degree in a related field, or any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position + Professional demeanor in representing the organization, and generally be friendly and confident + Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact appropriately, sensitively, and confidentially with all levels (internal and external) + Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals + Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook email and calendar software) + Minimum adjusted typing speed of 60WPM WHO WE ARE: Founded by the Hart family in 1977, OrePac is a family-owned and operated wholesale building materials supplier providing product, sales, and technology solutions to the shelter industry.
