Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides for all clerical support and administrative organization for Community Access Services (CAS). In addition to administrative duties, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for direct service provision for clients receiving Pantry Services, including verification of eligibility, referral to adequate services, and maintenance of related data, charts and reporting. As part of the essential functions of this position, the Administrative Assistant: + Provides customer service to clients and visitors, answers telephone calls, and processes mail + Enters program data into databases to facilitate accurate and timely reporting to the agency’s funders + Manages our food pantry- including conducting eligibility assessments, maintaining inventory lists, and maintaining required program documentation and protocols + Develops and implements improvements in general office systems and procedures, ensuring consistency and efficiency in the office + Assists staff with logistical aspects of preparation for programs, meetings, and special events + Collaborates with the Executive Director and program staff to keep the agency’s website and online and print promotional materials up-to-date + Utilizing established Association processes, orders and maintains inventory of all office supplies, program incentives, and promotional items Qualified Candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (Associate's Degree preferred); candidate must be able to communicate clearly and professionally and demonstrate ability to work independently and exercise effective multitasking and time-management skills; candidate must demonstrate familiarity with computers and MS Office software (Outlook, Word); candidate will have effective organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) in a confidential manner required; awareness o f and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential Job Type: Full-time Required education and experience: High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree preferred; some administrative experience preferred What Evergreen Health Offers You: + Multiple comprehensive medical health insurance plans for you to choose from + Dental and Vision coverage at no cost to you + Paid Time Off package that equals 4 weeks of time in your first year + 403b with a generous company match + Paid parking or monthly metro pass + Professional development opportunities + Paid lunch breaks
