The Mission of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement (LCLE) is to improve the operations of the criminal justice and juvenile justice system and promote public safety by providing progressive leadership and coordination within the criminal justice community.

This position provides clerical support to the Accountant Administrator. The successful candidate will assist with daily correspondence, reporting, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, this role is responsible for processing and distributing incoming mail.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
+ Handles confidential and administrative tasks for the Accountant Administrator. This includes independently drafting and preparing correspondence on various administrative and policy matters for their signatures.
+ Assists in creating detailed reports and confidential memos on program activities and projects. This includes conducting research on various administrative and policy topics to support the Accountant Administrator.
+ Executes routine processing of paperwork, data tabulation, and record-keeping. The position also involves updating and maintaining fiscal and performance databases and preparing various documents using a range of software.
+ Responsible for retrieving and distributing all incoming mail.

Appointment Type: Probational. Current classified permanent status employees may be required to take a probational appointment if selected for this position.
