POSITION OVERVIEW:
Provide administrative support in day-to-day activities within the Human Resources Department. Provides quality customer service for all employees in accordance with the principles of the “Magna’s Employee’s Charter.”
RESPONSIBILITIES:
GENERAL
Provides recruitment support within the Co-op program: reviewing resumes, phone screenings, and interviewsCoordination of onboarding for new hires including preparing new hire bags, conducting orientation, and collection of documentationFollows up on requirements to complete the new hire and termination checklistsMaintains office supplies by tracking inventory, placing orders and organizing suppliesAssists with the coordination of Conversation with Leader meetings, social events & fundraisingUpdates Emergency Response evacuation lists, training & orientationAssists with the maintenance of department documentation including employee files, ensuring compliance to document control & retention policiesContributes to the development of the monthly department meeting guidelinesProvides administrative support to the EHS CoordinatorAssist employees with general requests/questionsMaintain available tools for employee communications.Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the Human Resources DepartmentFollows Magna’s Code of Conduct & Ethics and related compliance policiesUpholds the principles of the Magna Employee’s Charter, Magna’s Operational Principles, Magna’s Environmental Health and Safety Policy & Procedures, MML Quality Policy, Program Execution Process and Business Protocols. EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resources ManagementKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPointExcellent communications skills: verbal, written, listeningAbility to build relationships with & service the customer (internal)Ability to manage multiple tasksAbility to work efficiently individually, as well as in a teamStrong attention to detailMaintain confidentiality and integrityAbility to work under pressureWORKING CONDITIONS:
