Adjunct Lecturer in Law - Global Regulatory ComplianceApply (https://facultypositions.usc.edu/FAS/application/position?postingId=REQ20164811) Gould School of Law Faculty Los Angeles, California USC Gould School of Law is seeking an instructor to teach our onlineGlobal Regulatory Complianceclass this Fall 2025. Students enrolled in this course will be in our Online LL.M., Online M.S.L., and various of our Online Certificate programs. Courses will be developed and taught fully online; lecturers may work from any location. Candidates should have strong professional background in the field, preferably with law school and/or online teaching experience. We expect that the instructor will spend approximately 10-15 hours of work per week on instruction of the course, including the timely grading of assignments and communication with students. LAW 579: Global Regulatory Compliance (2 units) provides an introduction to regulatory regimes governing business practices that are enforced globally and with which multinational and other companies that are engaged in cross-border transactions must comply; as well as the ways that organizations ensure compliance with such laws and regulations. This course will cover specific regulatory regimes that are enforced globally including, antitrust, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention, Anti-Money Laundering, Data Privacy, U.S. Export Controls, and regulatory governance of/restrictions on foreign direct investment. --- USC reserves the “Adjunct” appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year but, in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean. To ensure compliance with federal, state or local regulatory requirements as well as university policy and procedures, Adjunct Lecturers are required to complete specific training requirements as a condition of employment. Adjuncts Lecturers must complete mandated training by a required deadline. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination, in accordance with the Faculty Handbook. Trainings that are required for all faculty and staff include USC’s Harassment Prevention Training at the time of hire and every two years thereafter, USC’s Integrity and Accountability Code Training at the time of hire, Information Security training annually, and Workplace Violence Prevention Plan training annually.
