Applicants should indicate in their cover letter which campus or teaching sites (Hattiesburg and/or Long Beach) they are willing to accept in these interim assignments. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for visa sponsorship. Job Summary Adjunct faculty members provide face-to-face, hybrid, and online course instruction including all aspects of course administration as an instructor of record. Primary Duties and Responsibilities + Adhere to class schedules as posted. + Communicate course requirements to students. + Teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes as needed. + Be available to assigned students for support and course advising including exams, required remediation, and summative evaluations. + Be collaborative with other CBED faculty as well as the Director to plan, implement, and evaluate each course offering taught to maintain quality and effectiveness. + Follow the policies and procedures of the CBED and the University of Southern Mississippi. + Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master degree in a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in management. Should be AACSB qualified for being an instructor of record. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Candidate must have earned 18 graduate hours or have significant and documented work experience in the teaching field (MGT). + The ability to deliver accurate, concise, and quality communication (verbal and written) in timely manner. + The ability to work collaboratively with other faculty in the unit. + The ability to navigate and use learning management systems for teaching, such as Canvas, as well as other technological communications (Microsoft Office Suite). Proficiency in teaching strategies and techniques for all student populations. Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in accounting from an AACSB accredited program; professional experience in management; evidence of scholarly research, certification, and experience in teaching hybrid/flipped/online classes are plusses.
