The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science (MEMS) in the Swanson School of Engineering (SSOE) at the University of Pittsburgh (Oakland Campus) invites applications for the part-time position of Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Fall 2025 semester. The position is for the term of one semester, with the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities include development and teaching one undergraduate level course, MEMS 1200 – Introduction to Robotic Systems (currently listed as MEMS 1097 – Special Projects).

Qualifications

Completion of a doctoral degree in robotics or mechanical engineering with an emphasis on robotics
