Additive Manufacturing Co-op

Emerson is looking for an Additive Manufacturing Co-op for Winter/Spring 2026 to join our McKinney, TX team. We are looking for someone who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You will give your technical opinion on the design and production of metal additive manufactured parts. You will work in a team environment applying your knowledge of engineering principles and the physical sciences to develop new designs, improve old designs, and make parts via additive manufacturing. 

As an Additive Manufacturing Co-op you will

Design parts to be made via additive manufacturing on a laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) machine Run parts on a LPBF machine. Verify additive manufacturing material properties via a tensile tester. Heat treat additive manufacturing parts using a heat treatment furnace. Document additive manufacturing designs and builds, results, problems encountered, and the solutions developed. Participate with new product development, cost reduction, and product modification teams in designing and making AM parts. Perform other duties as assigned.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university working toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering High Mechanical aptitude. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to communicate optimally, verbally and written. Commitment to full-time (40 hour) Winter/Spring Co-op experience in McKinney, TX from January 2026 to June 2026 Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:  

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Material Engineering, Material Engineering Technology or Engineering Science  Junior
