Critical care, rare disease, hospital account sales position focused on launching and selling products. This position requires educating and presenting complex clinical disease state information to advance diagnosis and treatment. Launch and P&T formulary approval process experience necessary. The position requires strong business acumen with a focus on cross functional HCPs including hepatology, nephrology, critical care, and intensivists.Job Description
Essential FunctionsMeet or exceed sales objectives/quota Deep understanding of disease state and ability to effectively communicate and educateSells product and drives adoptionUnderstands the market landscape and competing productsAnalyzes territory and account data, uses judgment and experience to identify business opportunities and drive utilizePrioritizes sales activities and continually evaluates targets to meet goals and track sales impactDevelops KOLs and implements programs consistent with product strategy to drive sales resultsDevelops and maintains relationships with internal colleagues and external HCPs/CustomersEnsures compliance with all applicable laws, policies and procedures in conducting businessMeets specific expectations on speaker events and other available resourcesDevise and implements a plan to address distribution channel, access, competition, and market challenges to positively impact salesUnderstands reimbursement model and value proposition for hospital economicsMinimum RequirementsB.A. or B.S. degree in relevant field, M.B.A. a plus5 years recent hospital sales experience and/or rare disease, critical care experience, or an emphasis in hepatology/nephrologyStrong technical and clinical presentation and selling skillsValid driver's licenseRequired to pass all product training testingOvernight travelPreferred:Academic and community institutional selling experienceInstitutional contracting process experienceExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skillsProven track record of sales successExcellent business acumen, planning and organizational skillsStrong collaboration and teamwork skills with multiple business partnersOrganizational Relationship/Scope:The role is a field-based customer facing position reporting into the Commercial Sales Organization Working Conditions:Local travel; some overnight required, may vary depending on the territoryTerritory: Long Island
Salary Range: $165k-180k
