Position Details

Job Title: CBSI Head – Actuarial Risk and Capital Function/Department: Actuarial Location: Bengaluru Employment Type: Full-time Reports To: Actuary and CBSI Head - Actuarial Pricing and Capital Role Overview: Perform model validation of internal capital models

 

Key Responsibilities

Model Validation: Conduct routine validation of capital model output, ensuring they meet regulatory and company standards. Design Validation Studies: Eventually design and execute validation studies to assess model performance, robustness, and reliability Report Writing: Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing validation findings, insights, and recommendations for stakeholders. Presentation Development: Develop and present materials to effectively communicate validation insights to diverse audiences. Lead Automation Projects: Identify and spearhead opportunities for process automation to enhance validation and reporting efficiency. Ownership and Initiative: Take ownership of validation assignments over time. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, underwriting, and compliance, to ensure thorough model validation and risk assessment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills: Proven experience in model validation, statistical analysis, and risk management within the insurance industry, preferably in Property and Casualty. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing reports and presentations for various audiences. Preferred Skills: Strong understanding or willingness of learning regulatory requirements pertaining to capital model validation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field;  Master’s degree / Qualified (Nearly Qualified) Actuary preferred. Experience: A minimum of seven years in Property and Casualty insurance
