As an Actuarial Technician, you’ll be at the center of ensuring our insurance products are priced and delivered exactly as intended. From validating rates and leading system testing to serving as a go-to expert for rate plan and rules, you’ll play a critical role in protecting the integrity of our products while collaborating across teams to make impactful improvements.
What You’ll Do:
You will provide rating support to internal teams; validate premiums and justify changes.
You’ll plan, execute, and support testing (Dev, UAT, Post-implementation); perform peer reviews and troubleshoot using premium validation tools.
You will identify, refine, and resolve rating/system issues to maintain product integrity.
You’ll represent the Actuarial team in meetings; contribute insights and follow through on action items.
You will serve as subject matter expert for assigned states/products, with deep knowledge of rating rules and exceptions.
You’ll develop, enhance, and maintain system rate books.
You will gather requirements, close loopholes, and design solutions to protect product intent.
You’ll independently own projects and rate changes from inception to completion.
What You’ll Need:
Strong analytical, logical, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (sorting/filtering, formatting, lookup tables, nested functions).
Two years of insurance industry experience (underwriting, claims, product development, customer service, or related) preferred.
Solid understanding of insurance products, rating systems, and rules for discounts/surcharges.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$30.30 - $40.37Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
