**What will you be doing?**
Actuarial Reporting Manager
Location: Hybrid, Dorking 2 days per week, 1 further day spent in Dorking, Basingstoke or London
Unum UK is looking for an Actuarial Reporting Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping our actuarial reporting and transformation agenda.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified actuary with a passion for financial reporting, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. You’ll work across Solvency II, USGAAP, and UKGAAP reporting, while mentoring junior team members and driving innovation in actuarial processes.
**What will you bring?**
**Additional Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and manage actuarial reporting activities, including Solvency II balance sheet, P&L results, and regulatory submissions.
+ Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing clear, concise financial insights and technical guidance.
+ Communicate complex actuarial concepts in a clear and engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Coach and mentor actuarial trainees, supporting their development and contributing to a high-performing team culture.
+ Champion innovation in actuarial systems and reporting methodologies, helping us evolve and improve how we work.
**About you:**
+ A qualified actuary with strong experience (We are open to candidates from all backgrounds, Life, GI, Pensions etc)
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into business narratives
+ Strong stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach to cross-functional working.
+ A keen interest in finance transformation and process improvement.
+ High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and expert-level Excel proficiency.
+ Experience with actuarial systems (e.g. RAFM, Unify) is a plus.
