Actuarial Assistant Manager, Global Asset Modelling
We are currently searching for a talented and driven individual to join our MBPS Actuarial, Global Asset Modelling Function as an Actuarial Assistant Manager. Established in 2012, the team has become an actuarial center of excellence, with over 200 staff and growing, along with increasing range and ownership of deliverables, specializing in Valuation, Liability and Asset Modelling, Experience Analytics, Pricing, and more.
Position Responsibilities:
Review the assets and reinvestment assumptions within models and supporting files prepared by analysts to ensure accuracy and quality. Verify that all necessary steps have been executed effectively, and identify any dataset peculiarities to ensure reasonableness of the model.
Evaluate the reasonableness of the deliverables, such as adherence to guidance and movements in cashflows.
Support the reporting and analysis of investment results, ensuring delivery of accurate data and meaningful insights.
Lead the direction of research on issues and queries from customers as necessary.
Support GAM’s business objectives by providing leadership in overseeing projects and initiatives, managing different stakeholders, and facilitating change management.
Lead the development of the team’s business acumen by providing insightful analyses and mentoring junior staff to develop their competencies.
Perform people manager role for the performance management, professional growth and development of staff which includes feedback sessions, productivity tracking, coaching, and regular employee reviews.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
At least 7 years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial Services
Associate designation in any recognized actuarial organization (SOA, ASP)
Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, SQL, Qlikview, Python or similar programs
Demonstrated experience in applying actuarial concepts to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metrics
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, organize, and report information, results, and recommendations to various levels across the organization
Strong ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, for self and others
Amenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)
Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)
