Actuarial Analyst - College Program 2026

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Analytics Advisory team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Morristown, New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Atlanta, or Seattle. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.


You will join a team of Actuarial Advisors who utilize deeply specialized quantitative skills and sophisticated modeling techniques to provide critical measurement and insights to our clients. Working alongside top-tier professionals, you will contribute to generating a comprehensive view of all portfolio profitability components, helping clients align their day-to-day underwriting strategies with their long-term goals. Your responsibilities will include organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data, as well as performing modeling to assess the cost and structure of reinsurance programs, along with other analytics projects across multiple lines of business and geographies. This role involves collaborating within cross-functional teams that deliver strategic insights to some of the largest and most prominent insurance companies worldwide.

What you need to have: 

Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree, with an expected graduation date of Winter 2025 or Spring 2026, in a technical discipline such as Actuarial Science, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or StatisticsA curious and proactive mindset, with a strong desire and ability to lead internal initiatives and research projects through to completionExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical analysis and concepts for brokers and clientsA collaborative, team-oriented attitude and effective interpersonal skills, contributing positively to colleague and client interactionsStrong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detailAbility to manage and advance multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency in MS Excel, along with skills in other MS Office applicationsLegal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship now or in the future

What makes you stand out:

Completion of 1 – 2 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) examsFamiliarity with programming languages/visualization tool (i.e., R, Python, SQL, Alteryx, Power BI)Experience in a technical related role at a reinsurance broker, market, or catastrophe model software vendorPrior experience in relevant insurance / reinsurance fieldAn understanding of the reinsurance industry and product lines
