About the Role

Support the Chief Product Actuary in product development, distribution initiatives and business issues. Conduct studies to review product performance and operating experience.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Product

Review product pricing including modelling, assumptions and justifications to meet the financial requirements of the company. (25%)Prepare financial analysis of distribution initiatives and perform testing for the actuarial related areas in the channel compensation to ensure accuracy and timeliness of system delivery. Coordinate with other stakeholders to ensure the achievements of deliverables. (20%)Prepare experience studies / reports. Meet agreed timelines and with accuracy. Provide observation and comments on the results.  (25%)

Other responsibilities

Communicate with IT and prepare user requirement for various studies and system development. (15%)Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements. (10%)Assist supervisor in coordinating among teams on ad-hoc tasks. (5%)

Minimum Job Requirements:

University / College graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or relevant subjectKnowledge in insurance products and market trend plus at least 2 years of relevant experience, financial reporting experience will be a plusProficient in statistical computer software/ knowledge in actuarial software e.g. Prophet is a plusProficient in MS Office and database skillsGood command of written and spoken English and Chinese
