We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant - Concierge to help coordinate and execute events for our Assisted Living community. The Activities Assistant will assist with the logistics for daily, weekly, and monthly activities that engage residents and provide enjoyable, safe experiences.

 

To succeed as an Activities Assistant - Concierge, you should strive to engage in activities that are appealing and appropriate for the age and physical or emotional conditions of our residents. We are looking for a professional team player who can help bring joy and fun to our seniors while preserving their dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities Answer all incoming calls related to transportation requests for residents' medical appointments, and signups for on- and off-campus activities or events.Gather complete and accurate details (resident name, destination, appointment time, mobility needs) and enter them into the transportation schedule.Create and maintain the daily driving schedule for the Transportation Team and communicate updates to drivers.Confirm pick-up times with residents as needed and follow up on any schedule changes.Keep an organized record of sign-ups and communicate participation lists to the Director of Activities.Call residents the day before or the day of an event to remind them of their scheduled pick-up time or event details.Answer questions about the monthly activity calendar and clearly explain events and outings. Qualifications At least two year’s of experience in customer service, hospitality, or a front desk/scheduling role (senior living or healthcare experience preferred).Strong organizational skillsMust be able to physically set up and take down events (e.g. chairs, tables, etc.).Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Must be willing to work some weekends, holidays and evenings as needed.Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak the English language.Must be detail oriented.Able to make independent decisions when in various circumstances.Must possess good communication and people skills.Office and administrative skills a must.Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher.Experience working with seniors a plus.Able to take and follow written and oral instructions.Team player.Hard worker.Must be compassionate, patient and kind with a bubbly personality.Loves having fun.
