We're seeking an Activation Manager with strong programmatic experience specifically in DV360 (Google’s Display and Video DSP) to join our growing in-house activation team. You'll drive strategies within YouTube and lead day-to-day tactical campaign implementation. Your role will involve testing to improve key performance indicators across creative opportunity, first-party/third-party audiences, testing YouTube formats and buying types to enhance brand effectiveness. You'll measure success and develop playbooks for YouTube in- house buying expansion globally for Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop media plan recommendations for YouTube Select and auction-based buys to address key audiences, leveraging quality assets and testing targeting tactics to drive business outcome, backed by data.
- Ensure YouTube activation is strategically aligned with broader digital media plans
- Develop and optimize audience targeting strategies in DV360 for YouTube, utilizing first- and third-party data to reach priority audiences
- Set up, traffic, manage, and report on YouTube campaigns, ensuring accurate implementation, pacing alignment, and actionable performance insights.
- Expand DV360 YouTube buying to channel-specific premium ad placement -Create and execute an annual experimentation plan in collaboration with Google, media team, and analysts to refine media fundamentals -Establish best practices for global expansion of Amazon retail brands -Implement and advance brand safety and metric-based quality indicators to reduce business risk and maintain high attention.
- Act as the liaison between internal teams and Google to drive YouTube activation success, addressing ad hoc requests, troubleshooting campaign issues, and ensuring seamless execution
A day in the life
- Execute daily optimizations to improve campaign performance, including creative adjustments, pacing oversight, and bid and frequency cap management
- Oversee Select and auction-based buys for YouTube and YouTube publishers
- Audit and maintain brand safety solutions for YouTube
- Implement taxonomy and trafficking protocol -Adhere to activation timelines and refine operating procedures
- Deliver topline reporting and analysis of YouTube campaigns, highlighting key performance trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
- Consult with global regional media leads and Global studio creative group on DV360 best practices
About the team
Amazon MODE (Media, Operations, Data and Execution) is the in house solution for programmatic and social media buying at Amazon, located within XCM (Cross Channel, Cross Division) Marketing Organization
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
- Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in multi-territory campaign management
- Experience in digital marketing and content production timelines and process

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
