Additional Information About the Role Shift information: FT Day Shift 8 AM – 4:30 PM (no evenings, weekends or on call required) Types of clients: Transition age youth ages 16 – 25 years of age with mental health or co-occurring diagnoses Location: Pagedale Facility, however this position is mostly community-based and you will work throughout the greater STL area Ideal Skill Set:Works well with multidisciplinary team, can self-manage caseload, accountable when in the community, trauma-informed Job responsibilities: provide SUD treatment and education to clients, appropriately assess client treatment needs, provide services in the community MUST have at least ONE of the following Qualified Additional Professional credentials/certifications: Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC) Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRAADC) Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP) Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor-Provisional (RADC-P) Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADC) Co-occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP) Co-occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate (CDPD-D) Overview BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties. As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for providing ongoing therapy to clients identified with co-occurring disorders. Responsibilities Plans and conducts Individual Sessions, Group Education and Group Counseling in accordance with IDDT fidelity standards. Completes Co-Occurring Evaluations in accordance with IDDT fidelity standards. Reviews, signs and contributes to co-occurring people’s treatment plan. Minimum Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree - Social Services/related Experience
