Acquisiton Program Manager

The US Air Force requires full-spectrum Advisory and Assistance (A&AS) support to staff an Acquisition Program Manager position within the Minuteman III Ground Mechanical Branch. Candidate will serve as an Acquisition Program Manager and work with a highly skilled team providing mission-critical acquisition program management, reporting, and program integration functions on behalf of the Minuteman III System Program Office. Candidate will serve as an acquisition subject matter expert, key program advisor, and a focal point for the assessment and reporting of program status, including technical performance, contract performance, integrated master schedule health, risks, issues, and opportunities. The program manager will employ critical path method and baseline disciplines, assist in developing schedules, and ensure the development, evaluation and validation of assigned resources and budgets. The role will also involve defining relationships among acquisition phases, decisions, milestones and solicitations, design reviews, contract deliveries, test and evaluation activities, production, and operational deployment. Must be able to recommend viable solutions to problems, and pursuit of alternate courses of action. Role will identify appropriate contract types as well as defining statutory and regulatory requirements, while integrating with cross functional activities. Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition briefings, documents and plans. Creates and assists in developing acquisition program documentation required by DOD 5000 series, in support of milestone and technical reviews. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + 10 yrs experience in Program Management, 8 years with MS + Demonstrates proactive initiative in identifying and addressing challenges, consistently driving projects forward with minimal supervision + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Self-directed; works independently and is familiar with Air Force and Government processes. + Familiarity with statutory and regulatory documentation requirements + Proven experience in program management, preferably in a government environment + Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Office + Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + BS/MS in relevant field (e.g. Business Administration or Project Management) or equivalent experience. + Experience with program management within the missile system or complex weapon system (especially ACAT III program or ICBM-related experience) + Current Secret Clearance or higher + Knowledge or previous experience with Air Force operation, acquisitions and sustainment programs. + Experience being responsible for deliverables to the government and accountable for the technical quality, content and results of those deliverables. **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $118504 - $201457 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
