About the Role
The Consultant position involves managing accreditation and regulatory compliance for IU Health facilities, providing support to other sites, and ensuring readiness for surveys. Key duties include educating and advising stakeholders, coordinating survey preparations, managing onsite survey activities, and following up to address deficiencies. The role also involves reviewing new services for compliance, participating in performance improvement efforts, and updating leadership on compliance status. Serving as a liaison with the Indiana Department of Health and accrediting organizations, the person will support continuous adherence to standards and facilitate service expansions. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of healthcare experience, an Indiana healthcare license, and a collaborative mindset to contribute to statewide patient care excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree is required.Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.CPHQ or other comparable healthcare regulatory certification endorsed by IU Health System Regulatory Affairs required within two years of employment.Interfacility travel for surveying and in-state overnight stays is required.Requires current state of Indiana license as a health care professional (e.g., Registered Nurse with an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license, Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacy or Rehabilitation license).Why IU Health?
