Join our high-performing team dedicated to patient safety and quality improvement as a Consultant in Accreditation and Regulatory Compliance. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to influence safety standards across IU Health’s facilities, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements and supporting continuous performance improvement.About the Role
The Consultant will facilitate accreditation and regulatory activities within assigned facilities and provide system-wide readiness support. You will serve as an expert resource, advising stakeholders on compliance interpretations, survey preparation, and post-survey actions. Your role involves onsite survey management, preparation of documentation and responses, and proactive review of services and facilities to maintain or restore compliance.You will act as a liaison with the Indiana Department of Health and accrediting agencies, providing updates to leadership and supporting performance improvement initiatives. Some travel for surveys, system-wide events, and overnight stays within Indiana are required.Key Responsibilities Facilitate accreditation and regulatory compliance activities across assigned facilities.Provide education, consultation, and advisement to facility leaders and staff on compliance standards and survey readiness.Coordinate survey preparation activities, including onsite management and documentation review.Lead or support comprehensive post-survey follow-up, including preparing responses and action plans to address deficiencies.Review new or revised services, spaces, and processes to ensure ongoing compliance.Assist facilities in performance improvement activities to regain or maintain compliance.Communicate regularly with leadership regarding readiness status and compliance metrics.Serve as a facility liaison with the Indiana Department of Health and accrediting organizations.Support system-wide accreditation initiatives and participate in performance improvement efforts.Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required.3-5 years of relevant experience in accreditation, regulatory compliance, or patient safety.Current Indiana license as a healthcare professional (e.g., RN license, Respiratory Therapist, Pharmacy, or Rehabilitation license).Within two years of employment, obtain and maintain a CPHQ or comparable healthcare regulatory certification endorsed by IU Health System Regulatory Affairs.Ability to travel within Indiana for surveys, system events, and overnight stays as needed.Excellent communication, consultation, and organizational skills.
