Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. In this role, you will oversee key financial processes such as payment processing, collections, account reconciliation, and reporting. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and exceptional communication skills to ensure accurate and efficient management of accounts receivable functions.
Responsibilities:
• Process and record incoming payments, including checks, wire transfers, and automatic payments, ensuring accurate application to customer accounts and invoices.
• Manage daily check deposits and post transactions into the Great Plains accounting system.
• Monitor overdue accounts and collaborate with customers to resolve payment disputes or issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts to maintain accurate balances and investigate discrepancies for correction.
• Prepare and analyze aging reports, track collection performance, and provide management with detailed updates on cash flow and accounts receivable status.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries, provide copies of invoices or statements, and address complaints related to accounts receivable.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accounting systems and communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
• Assist with additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support the department's objectives. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in general accounting, with a focus on accounts receivable.
• Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with experience using accounting software such as Great Plains, Acumatica, or QuickBooks.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Reliable, detail-oriented attitude with a commitment to maintaining a high standard of work quality.
