Accounts Receivable Supervisor

**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable (AR) Supervisor to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will bring 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience in AR, with a strong background in lien releases, preliminary notices, and overall AR operations.
Reporting to our Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily AR functions, ensuring timely collection of receivables, training, assigning and directing workflow and maintaining accurate records that align with company financial goals.
A highlight of your day-to-day will include:
+ Supervising and mentoring the AR team, overseeing day-to-day operations including cash applications and billing.
+ Providing guidance to the Collections team.
+ Reviewing and managing the preparation and distribution of customer invoices.
+ Monitoring accounts to ensure timely collection and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
+ Handling the processing and issuance of preliminary notices and lien releases in compliance with legal and company requirements.
+ Overseeing month-end and year-end close procedures related to AR.
+ Developing and implementing process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
+ Maintaining positive relationships with all customers. Accommodating all reasonable customer requests. Acting as liaison between customer and site sales representatives.
+ Ensuring AR compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
+ Participating in audits and support documentation requests.
**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
You are enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced, team environment. You have demonstrated leadership skills, decision-making abilities, strong communication, organizational and documentation skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment. You’re a lifelong learner with an Associate’s degree in accounting (preferred) and a minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory role working in AR.
Other desired qualifications include:
+ Proficient knowledge of construction lien laws, preliminary notices, and lien release processes is preferred.
+ Working knowledge of collections laws and best practices.
+ Ability to work independently and prioritize.
+ Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
+ Process-oriented with a mindset for continuous improvement.
